tabs:going_to_palestine

This is an old revision of the document!

<pre> tabbed by:stephenp182 note: iffy on riff – sounds very close though riff:

b-10-12-12-10-10-10h12p10-9-9-9h11p9-7-7-7h9p7-5-5-5h7p5-3-3-3h5p3-2-2-2h4p2-1-1-1h3p0h2

intro: riff, D, A

         G D A

that woman set herself on fire

           G D A

they said it on the radio

                        E D

they said she lit off the skies of palestine

                             A

i could not stand to hear them say so

        E

i saw the stars come out

        D A

i saw the oranges on the trees G D A later on they played some carribean song

       G D A

man they sure know how to pick 'em

             E D

the rich voice burning like a fuse

             A

the syncopated rhythms

        E

i saw the stars come out

        D

i saw the oranges cracking open

        A

i saw you standing there

             E

orange blossom in your hair

       D

going to palestine

       A

going to palestine

then instead of picking the riff he seems to strum openly while playing those notes in the same sequence as with the intro playing a D, does that maybe twice, depending on performance, then ends with hard, single strums using the A chord
