We Shall All Be Healed (or Rose Quarter Drifting) by the Mountain Goats
transcribed by Ryan Greenlaw

notes: the only recordings I've heard are played on piano in C, so that's what I'm transcribing here (even though
I prefer to play it on guitar in a different key). also, the original has a weird key shift during the bridge,
but I decided to keep it simple and stay in C. all chord names indicate two beats of that chord at about 70 BPM
(in the original)

(instrumental twice)

(verse) \\
left home in a blur; arrived in the light \\
everything's going to be alright \\
came back to the place where it all flared out \\
just to check if the reservoir still bore the mark of the drought

(pre-chorus a) \\
up to Thirteenth and Taylor; check my pulse \\
you weren't there, and neither was anybody else

(pre-chorus b) \\
stared down demons; came back breathing \\
no real point in ever leaving

(chorus) \\
Tracy, and Ivory, and Brad, and me too \\
we will see some great miracle before the night is through

(instrumental)

(verse) \\
slipped in through the entrance; stood in the hall \\
left my fingerprints on the elevator wall \\
went down to my old room; stood outside for a minute \\
wondering if parts of me were still there in it

(pre-chorus a) \\
who can say it won't be me \\
you are gone now, and i am free

(chorus) \\
Wesley, and Quinn, and Devon, and you \\
we will all be fixed up, as good as new

(optional instrumental)

(pre-chorus a) \\
and i stared at the number ten on my old apartment's door \\
that's one ghost that can't bite me anymore

(pre-chorus b) \\
and some day, we will all feel at home in our new skin \\
and some day, we will all never be alone again

(chorus) \\
when the sun comes up, and the night has passed \\
we shall all be healed at last; at last; at last

(instrumental twice)
